What: A dinner or breakfast with a guest a sporting background to give a testimony or short talk. One-off/’special’ events could include bringing in a high profile sports star to give the talk.
For Who: Can be specific to a certain target audience e.g. such as Mens United. Ideally an event for Christians to bring their Non-Christians mates.
Why: To provide a platform using the medium of sport and a meal to share the Gospel and bridge people to local churches. Also providing an opportunity to cultivate unity within local churches.
Duration: A morning or evening
Where: A pub, a café/restaurant, social club, sports pavilion, community centre or a church. However consider ‘neutral and relevant territory’ to the target audience i.e. sport minded non-believer. For example in Men’s United in Bath run a monthly men’s breakfast at the Slug and Lettuce at 8am on a Saturday morning.
