Dear Parents / Carers
We are so looking forward to a fun packed February camp!
Although it has been a very challenging start to the year with COVID in the UK it's encouraging to see that things are moving in the right direction once again and we don't foresee any issues running our program of sports and fun this half term!
We closely follow government guidelines and how they apply to the events we run and continually update our guidance in light of this. With this in mind here are the guidelines we have set to enable us to run a camp that is safe for children and staff:
What is our approach?
As with all our pre-COVID camps children will be grouped by age so that they can play and compete with others their own age/ability. This is usually achieved with three age groups across GET Sported and two groups for GET Serious Cricket.
We will be asking parents to notify us if their child has been tested and found to have contracted COVID. In-line with government guidance anyone who has contracted COVID will need to contact the NHS Test and Trace service and self-isolate for 10 days, along with their family.
What is your COVID cancellation policy?
If your young person is confirmed as having COVID or they have been asked to self-isolate due to being contacted by Track and Trace because they are a close contact then we will offer you the chance to defer your booking to October where we hope to run a camp, or to a camp in 2022 or a refund.
Continue to follow us on social media for any updates.
We do advise you to keep up to date with latest government advice by looking at the guidelines given by the NHS and Public Health England websites.
