Local Ministry Delivery Co-ordinator
Reports to: General Director
Position: Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000 per annum.
Role
We are seeking a proactive and committed Local Ministry Delivery Co-ordinator to strengthen WSM’s local ministry impact. This pivotal role combines programme coordination and hands-on delivery to help others find and grow in their Christian faith.
The successful candidate will ensure the effective delivery of faith based schools work, outreach sports camps, mentoring initiatives, children’s & youth discipleship groups and prayer ministry, while contributing to the wider sustainability of WSM.
Objectives

To reach and disciple children, youth and adults for Jesus.

To help co-ordinate a schools and camps outreach team of volunteers.

To help mature and multiply mentoring services that we deliver.

To ensure activities are financially sustainable through fundraising and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities
Outreach engagement: Help organise and deliver sports camps, community outreach events, mentoring sessions, school clubs/assemblies and youth sports leadership gatherings.
Mentorship Programme Oversight: Coordinate and oversee the delivery of mentoring and counselling initiatives, ensuring staff and volunteers are equipped to provide high-quality support to vulnerable young people.
Schools Programme Co-ordination: Oversee and grow the delivery and impact of our schools ministry, liaising with schools and coaches.
Prayer Ministry Lead: Co-ordinate the planning and delivery of prayer ministry activities, ensuring alignment with WSM’s wider mission.
Discipleship Lead: Oversee delivery of huddles for children and youth containing Bible Discovery and sports games in partnership with local churches.
Human Resource Duties: Assist with HR processes such as volunteer recruitment, induction, and help facilitate staff well-being processes.
Fundraising Support: Help with fundraising requirements through donor development and specific events.
Role requirements:
Qualifications

Training in safeguarding, child development, or community work (desirable).
Experience
-
Proven experience in programme or project coordination, ideally within Christian ministry, education, charity, or community settings.

Strong administrative and organisational experience.

Experience working with children, young people, or families.
Skills & Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an ability and confidence to share one’s Christian faith and Biblical teachings.

Strong organisational and time management abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management systems.

Financial awareness and ability to support budgeting and reporting.

Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse people groups.
